"Trijicon MRO, Aimpoint killer?"

Written by Scott Fuller on . Posted in Blog

Specifications and features for a new optic called the Miniature Rifle Optic MRO from Trijicon have been released on the internets and what we are seeing and hearing has all of us at The Gun Show Podcast very interested

The optic appears to be aimed straight at the Aimpoint T1/T2/H1 red dot optics as the MRO is just barely larger than the Aimpoint at 2.6"x1.7"x2.0", and barely heavier at 4.1 oz compared to the T1 at 3.0 oz. The battery life is claimed to be 5 years which puts it on par with the best-in-class Aimpoint with this miserly power draw.

NVG modes, a 25mm objetive lens and a 2 MOA dot round out the specs on the Trijicon MRO. These specs and the $500 MSRP should be enough to push Trijicon to the forefront of the combat-ready Red Dot market. If the MRO proves as durable and reliable as the Aimpoint is, Trijicon might just have a homerun here.
